The Heading widget is used to create standalone headings within an exhibit page. (Note that H3 is the size heading created by the heading widget.)

Accessing the Heading widget

To use the Heading widget on a Home page, Feature page, or About page, navigate to your dashboard and select the page you wish to edit from the Curation sub-menu. You can also get to the same editing interface by clicking the red edit button at the top right corner of a Home page, Feature page, or About page. For more information, see Selecting and Formatting Widgets.

Once you are editing the page, click on a grey "+" to reveal a new undefined widget. Next, click on the red "+" to the left of the widget to open up the widget menu, then choose the Heading widget from the list of Standard widgets. You should see the options in the image below.

Enter your heading in the newly created box.

Be sure to click on the Save changes button to save your work. Your text will be automatically be sized as a heading.

Optionally, heading formatting can be modified in several ways via a context menu. For more information, see Selecting and Formatting Widgets.

Advanced: Creating subheadings

Although it is entirely optional, Spotlight supports adding subheadings to your exhibit. For more information on how to add subheadings, see the section on Advanced Formatting Using Markdown.
