The Browse Categories widget highlights exhibit browse categories that will be published to the exhibit's Browse page. These are browse categories marked as published and listed on the Curation > Browse Categories page, accessible via the Exhibit Dashboard.

A browse category highlighted via the Browse Categories widget will link to the corresponding browse category results page.
Please note: The Saved Searches widget can be used to highlight a saved search that has not been published as a browse category.
Accessing the Browse Categories widget
To use the Browse Categories widget on a Home page, Feature page, or About page, navigate to your dashboard and select the page you wish to edit from the Curation sub-menu. You can also get to the same editing interface by clicking the blue edit button at the top right corner of a Home page, Feature page, or About page. For more information, see Selecting and Formatting Widgets.
Once you are editing the page, click on a grey "+" to reveal a new undefined widget. Next, click on the blue "+" to the left of the widget to open up the widget menu, then choose the Browse Categories widget from the list of Exhibit Item Widgets. You should see the options in the image below.
Begin typing the name of the browse category and an autocomplete option will appear. The check boxes can be used to hide or reveal the individual items in the category.
Please note that due to display limitations, we recommend you only add 3 browse categories maximum to a given widget if you want to guarantee that they display to exhibit visitors.
Be sure to click on the Save changes button to save your work.
